This course will provide you with awareness and knowledge of the federal Grade Crossings Regulations and Grade Crossings Standards. To ensure the work you do complies with the Grade Crossings Regulations and Standards, this course will also clarify the City of Ottawa’s regulatory obligations under the federal Grade Crossings Regulations, help you identify work or activities on public roads that could threaten or interfere with the safety of railway operations at public grade crossings and, know the appropriate City of Ottawa staff and Rail Authority contacts to plan your work or activity to ensure safety at public grade crossings in Ottawa.
